My thoughts on Michael Flynn, ex Director

According to newspaper reports, Special Counsel recommends no prison for Michael Flynn.

Will this persuade the Judge? In my opinion, the prosecutor runs the show. Mr. Flynn is 99.9 percent a free man.

He will not face prison time that I did....

Michael Cohen under find an inmate It is now official. Michael Cohen is part of  FCI Otisville camp. By now it is sunk in his brain and he is probably getting used to life as an inmate. Stand up counts, lines to eat chow, lines for the phone, lines for emails thru tru links. He may get a job in a week or two, cleaning grounds, kitchen work as a dishwasher, taking out facility garbage, working at ware house unloading a truck. There is no drama at Camp Otisville.  With a 3 year sentence, he should do about half the time at Otisville and then get the rest of the time at a halfway house and then on home confinement. queens immigration lawyer gets 5 years in the slammer

NEW YORK  — Geoffrey S. Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced that Andreea Dumitru, a/k/a “Andreea Dumitru Parcalaboiu,” an immigration attorney based in Queens, New York, was sentenced to five years in prison in connection with her operation of a scheme to submit fraudulent asylum applications to United States immigration authorities.  Dumitru was convicted on November 19, 2018, of asylum fraud, making false statements to immigration authorities, and aggravated identity theft following a two-week trial before U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan, who imposed yesterday’s sentence. Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman said:  “Using lies and forgery, Andreea Dumitru, an immigration attorney, cheated the nation’s asylum program.  For her crimes, Dumitru will now spend five years in prison.” According to the Superseding Indictment, other filings in Manhattan federal court, and the evidence presented at trial: Between 2013 through 20

Murray Huberfeld, former owner of kosher delight gets prison sentence

Murray Huberfeld has plenty of time to think in Camp Otisville Geoffrey S. Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced today that MURRAY HUBERFELD was sentenced to 30 months in prison for his role in a scheme to submit false paperwork to Platinum Partners (“Platinum”), a hedge fund founded by HUBERFELD, in order to facilitate a bribe to Norman Seabrook, the former president of the nation’s largest municipal correction officers union.  HUBERFELD previously pled guilty to conspiring to commit wire fraud and thereby causing Platinum to fund a $60,000 bribe payment to Seabrook, which HUBERFELD intentionally concealed by falsely documenting the payment as one for courtside tickets to New York Knicks basketball games.  As a result of the bribe, Seabrook caused the investment of millions of dollars of union funds into Platinum.
